Additional Information:
Research shows that this 1940 North American AT-6 entered service with the U.S. Army Air Force in the early 1940’s and remained in service as a pilot trainer well after WWII. Civilian logs start in 1968 and document the aircraft usage and maintenance until 2004 when the aircraft was placed into storage. At that time it was noted as the oldest airworthy and flying AT-6 in the world. Included with the sale are numerous spare parts, propellers, cylinders, and additional items shown in the photos. The aircraft has held significant sentimental value for the seller, having been previously been owned by her father. She is now ready for a new owner to restore this beautiful AT-6 to its former glory and for it to once again return to the sky.
