The Honda Jet joined the VLJ (Very Light Jet) category in 2015 and like other VLJ’s is certified for single pilot operations. Powered by two jet engines mounted by vertical pylons on the wings, the HF120 engines produces 2,050 lbf each. When it comes to range the Honda Jet is capable of carrying 4 passengers with a NBAA IFR range of 1,223 nm (Honda Jet) or 1,437 nm (Honda Jet Elite), and a max cruise speed of 422 knots. Equipped up front with the G3000 avionics suite, and with average operating cost of $1,135 per hour, the Honda Jet can carry up to 6 passengers and a pilot in its pressurized cabin with full lav.
In 2018 the Honda Jet Elite was introduced, and brings with a 17% range increase, fuel efficiency and improved passenger amenities and comforts. Read more on the Honda Jet and Honda Jet Elite in our January 2019 Newsletter coming soon.
