The Cessna 408 SkyCourier is just one of the latest aircraft in development by Textron Aviation, receiving it FAA certification in March of 2022. This twin engine utility class aircraft is Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-65SC turboprop engines producing 1,100 shp per side. The Cessna 408 SkyCourier initially will be available with two interior options ranging from a cargo configuration, to a 19 passenger configuration, and able to carry up to 3 LD3 shipping container in the unpressurised cabin. With a max range of 900 nm, the Cessna 408 SkyCourier is capable of carrying up to 5,000 lbs when configured for passengers, or up to 6,000 lbs in a cargo configuration, and offering a max cargo range of around 400 nautical miles. Cessna a Textron company received it’s FAA Type certification in March 2022, with the first deliveries expected to follow shortly.
